About the Role

ASC seeks a skilled professional to manage multiple projects of varying complexity within the Collins Class Submarine sustainment program. The successful candidate will lead an engineering team, overseeing scope, schedule, cost, and risk across assigned projects.

This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, with experience in managing complex technical projects and teams. A tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent is essential, along with demonstrated expertise across the engineering lifecycle and through-life support of complex systems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an engineering team to deliver multiple sustainment projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Forecast, monitor, and report on project performance, identifying and mitigating technical and delivery risks.
  • Ensure engineering activities are performed in accordance with ASC's standards and governance frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality technical outputs, including documentation and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering leadership team to manage and prioritise resource needs across the program.
  • Support the development of engineering skills and capability within your team.
  • Contribute to cross-program collaboration, particularly with LOTE and other Upgrade & Update initiatives, to manage design overlaps and integration challenges.
Eligibility

A current National Police Clearance, Australian Defence Security Clearance, and ability to access protected US defence technology are required for this role. Your eligibility will be dependent on obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
