
Training Development Specialist

This is a Clinical Educator role within a healthcare organization.
The primary objective of this position is to create, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs that promote high-quality patient care and adhere to industry protocols.
- Develop an Annual Competency training program, assess staff for compliance with National Standards, and identify areas for improvement.
- Create a new staff induction program, deliver it, and finalize the assessment of staff readiness for deployment.
- Lead the development and update of a training schedule up to 12 months in advance, aligning it with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with management, clinicians, instructors, and quality managers to identify staff training needs or areas of risk.
- Design tailored training programs for staff requiring specific skills and addressing training gaps.
- Develop training programs for new equipment and work methods, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes.
- Oversee content for the online training platform, guaranteeing up-to-date system information.
- Participate in clinical reviews to pinpoint training gaps and suggest improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance and assessment results.
- Prepare documents, presentations, and reports as required for leadership meetings, focusing on key performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business and clinical processes, prioritizing patient-centricity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Promote a customer-centric culture that aligns with the organization's values.
- Evaluate staff compliance with clinical and legislative protocols and policies, responding promptly to any issues.
- Initiate projects to boost business functionality, safety, quality, and effectiveness.
- Mentor and provide training to staff while working on road, leveraging expertise as an Accredited Training Authority (ATA).
- Support interview, assessment, and orientation processes for new staff, facilitating a smooth transition.
- Accurately record education data and conduct audits to ensure compliance with National Standards.

- Significant experience in the patient care sector, demonstrating expertise and passion.
- Ability to engage stakeholders, building relationships both internally and externally.
- Capacity to lead learning environments through formal and informal training, promoting growth and development.
- Familiarity with patient transport operations.
- Meet the requirements and qualifications of an ATA, driving excellence in training delivery.
- Clinical Instructor qualification (desired) and Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (desired), enhancing your skills and reputation.
