Marketing Specialist – Event & PR

We are looking for a skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team.

This role involves supporting event planning, coordination and execution. You will be responsible for preparing and managing event documentation, venue bookings, AV, catering, speaker coordination, and partner liaison. Additionally, you will assist with managing event registrations, drafting media releases, award submissions and broker-facing communications.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in marketing, events, PR or communications. They should possess strong organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Experience with platforms such as Canva, Mailchimp and Eventbrite is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support event planning, coordination and execution.
  • Prepare and manage event documentation: run sheets, sponsorship packs, invitations, and post-event comms.
  • Manage event registrations using platforms like Eventbrite, and support follow-ups.
  • Draft media releases, award submissions and broker-facing communications.
  • Liaise with industry media and partners for co-branded content, interviews and features.
  • Maintain and update company profiles on award platforms and media databases.
  • Support the creation and scheduling of social media content related to events, PR milestones, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to execute brand-building activities and broker engagement strategies.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • 2–3 years' experience in marketing, events, PR or communications.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience managing event logistics end-to-end.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with platforms such as Canva, Mailchimp and Eventbrite.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools or CRM platforms like HubSpot.
  • Basic visual or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, iMovie).
