Rail Safety Manager Job Description
About the RoleThis is a critical position within our Health and Safety Technical team, responsible for developing and implementing tailored rail safety standards for our expanding network.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement rail safety standards for our expanding network.
- Provide expert technical advice on rail safety matters.
- Drive continuous improvement of safety management systems.
- Govern compliance with rail safety requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A proven ability to navigate complex safety challenges in major infrastructure projects.
- An ability to build confidence and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A strong commitment to safety and the ability to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Extensive expertise in rail safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
You will also possess:
- Tertiary Health and Safety or engineering qualifications, or equivalent experience that demonstrates your extensive capabilities.
- Extensive experience in the rail industry or related rail infrastructure construction, ideally within NSW.
This is a fixed-term role for up to 22 months. Flexible work arrangements may be available following agreement with your manager. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of a high-profile project.
