Senior Safety Investigator Role

This is a high-risk, complex investigation leadership position that contributes to a strong safety culture.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead major safety investigations from initial response through to final recommendations.
  • Coach and support investigators, oversee processes, and ensure alignment with national standards.
  • Collaborate with leaders to guide local investigations and embed learnings.
  • Engage stakeholders for consistent, trusted safety approaches.
  • Lead critical safety communications and reviews to shape key messages.
Key Skills and Experience
  • An experienced investigator with analytical mind, balanced judgement and integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to the audience.
  • Knowledge in safety investigations, preferably in rail, transport or high-risk industries.
  • A solid understanding of Rail Safety National Law and relevant WHS legislation.
