Electrical Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Infrastructure Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working in a fast-paced data center environment.

  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Perform daily checks and site inspections of the building and alarms, coordinate and lead preventative maintenance tasks and vendors, as well as lead repairs and corrective maintenance efforts.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to UPS, STS, LV, HV systems, sound knowledge of generators, chillers, and mechanical, BMS, and diesel propulsion systems and equipment would be beneficial.
  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Lead complex infrastructure maintenance activities, including switching experience and ability to be certified, collaborate with team members on major repairs and develop procedures for their execution.
  • Site Administration:
    • Manage access control and security measures, ensure the fire protection system is active and take necessary actions, maintain and coordinate site records to meet compliance requirements, attend vendor meetings to discuss services and address any issues.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Degree in Electrical or Engineering with exposure/experience in data centers.
  • Skills:
    • Team-first mentality, willingness to learn and develop on the job, engineering mindset, strong experience troubleshooting complex issues related to UPS, STS, LV, HV systems, sound knowledge of generators, chillers, and mechanical, BMS, and diesel propulsion systems and equipment would be beneficial.
  • Experience:
    • Working in a live, operational data center environment, extensive experience in mission-critical roles, expert and complex electrical, critical infrastructure (including HV experience) as well as a solid grounding in mechanical and controls infrastructure and equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the electrical infrastructure of our data center, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. This includes coordinating with vendors, developing procedures, and leading complex maintenance activities.

A key aspect of this role is the management of access control and security measures, ensuring the fire protection system is active, and maintaining site records to meet compliance requirements.

Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with team members to develop procedures for major repairs and execute them accordingly.
