About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and guidance to a dynamic team, fostering a positive, open, and collaborative culture that aligns with our values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets relating to community services delivery and infrastructure planning, using insights to inform evidence-based decision-making and future service models.
  • Draw connections between operational service delivery and strategic planning, synthesising information into clear, actionable recommendations and reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver strategic service plans, ensuring alignment with community needs, policy frameworks, and best practice models of service usage.
  • Drive strong project management practices to deliver outcomes on time and within budget, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and engagement skills.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in policy, social science or human services, backed by several years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or coordination role within community services or local government.
  • Well-developed project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and translate it clearly for a range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret data to support infrastructure and service planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to foster positive team culture and support staff development.
