About the Role

The Southern Adelaide Health Network (SALHN) is seeking an exceptional leader to drive the transformation of our services and improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in the Southern Adelaide region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and advice on culture and policy strategies relating to Aboriginal Health and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement health policies and service planning
  • Lead the workforce in a culturally safe and respectful way to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to address emerging challenges and risks
  • Manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively and efficiently
Requirements
  • Previous significant Executive leadership/management experience in a public or private sector environment
  • Effective practical application of knowledge of the social, cultural, political, and health issues affecting Aboriginal peoples, families, and communities
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes
  • Strong leadership and development skills, including driving accountability and performance management
  • Transformational leadership skills, including the capacity to build a shared sense of direction and purpose
  • Results-focused approach with the ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve short and long-term performance
  • Strong financial management skills, including analysis, budgeting, cost control, and expenditure monitoring
  • Experience working with and for Aboriginal people, and respecting Aboriginal culture, community, and country
