About the Role

The Executive Director, Aboriginal Health will lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities in the Southern Adelaide region.

This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the social, cultural, political, and health issues affecting Aboriginal peoples, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional leadership and advice on culture and policy strategies relating to Aboriginal Health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities in the Southern Adelaide region.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, clinical staff, and members of the community.
  • Lead the workforce in a culturally safe and respectful way.
  • Translate change initiatives and priorities into practical strategies that address emerging challenges and risks.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic documents and communications to key stakeholders.
  • Manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met.
About You

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader who has a proven track record in understanding corporate governance requirements and working effectively with other Executives, Board Members, and critical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contemporary issues facing the sector and the importance of flexibility and adaptability in leadership.

They will have experience creating and implementing strategic plans, and a proven ability to drive operational and clinical excellence and maintain commercial viability.
