Warehouse Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Seasonal Casual employee in the Merchandise Department at Costco Docklands. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our store is well-stocked and visually appealing for our members.
Key Responsibilities- Stock and straighten merchandise for sale in the warehouse, maintaining high product levels and adhering to merchandising standards.
- Clear and clean aisles, assisting members and ensuring a safe shopping environment.
- Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities, and write lists of products to be brought from the steel for stocking.
- Stock opened cases on shelves, move and position pallets of merchandise using manual pallet jacks, and stack product from partial pallets to full pallets.
- Use a box knife to cut boxes for display and accessibility of product, and wrap or tie and tag pallets to be returned to the steel.
- Mark product numbers on unmarked items using a marking gun, and observe and ensure correct product signage.
- Set up display models, assemble as necessary, and modify displays for safe handling by members.
- Pull loose cardboard and slip-sheets from the floor, clear sales floors of debris, and sweep. Remove empty pallets from the sales floor, operate cardboard balers and trash compactors, and rewrap loose product using shrink-wrap machines.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service, helping members to load large items into their carts and directing them to products.
- Assist with front-end duties as necessary, and assist other areas in the department as needed.
- Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary, and create computer-generated signs.
Please note that this is a seasonal casual position with a fixed term from November 2024 to February 2025. The role requires heavy lifting up to 25kg, and you must be fit and undertake an onsite health assessment. The job is based on a rotating roster, which includes weekend work, and you must be able to provide 5-day availability, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as mandatory days.
