About the RoleThe Blast Crew member will be responsible for:
- Dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns to achieve daily loading and blasting objectives safely and efficiently
- Ensuring the safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosives in accordance with all statutory and company requirements
- Operating ancillary equipment (stemming loader, etc)
- Working together with the entire blast team to meet daily operational targets
A standard day for you will involve collaborating with your team to plan, execute, and monitor blasting operations.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be required to have previous experience as a Blast Crew or Bench Hand equivalent in Coal or Quarries. You should also have a Standard 11 certification or be willing to obtain one.
- Previous experience in open-cut mining environment
- RIIBLA201E - Support Shotfiring Operations (desirable)
- Strong team attitude, communication skills, and a commitment to safety
- Fitness level to perform physically demanding tasks
