Explosive Operations Specialist

At our operation, we are seeking skilled and dedicated Explosive Operations Specialists to join our team in the Clermont Hub.

This role plays a vital part in achieving daily loading and blasting objectives safely and efficiently. As an integral member of the blast team, you will work collaboratively to meet operational targets and ensure the secure use, storage, handling, transport, and security of explosives.

  • Responsibilities include dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns.
  • Operating ancillary equipment such as stemming loaders.

Requirements for this position:

  • Previous experience in Coal or Quarries or relevant Blast Crew equivalent.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain Standard 11 qualification.
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • Experience working in open-cut mining environments.
  • RIIBLA201E - Support Shotfiring Operations is desirable.
