About the Role:
  • We are looking for a skilled Blasting Operator to join our mine team.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. To conduct blast area controller activities as required and ensure compliance with statutory Shot Firer requirements.
  2. Demonstrate visible leadership in safe behaviours and support team members in maintaining a safe working environment.
  3. Fulfill blast operations responsibilities and perform audits against company standards.
  4. Support magazine keeping and facilities management.
Requirements:
  1. Licensed Shot Firer, QLD Coal.
  2. Appointed Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, G2 or equivalent).
  3. 4+ years of experience in open cut mining operations within the coal industry.
  4. Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
  5. A commitment to safety as a way of life.
  6. Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (desired).
Work Arrangements:
  • 7 Day on and 7 Day off roster.
  • Residential or DIDO or FIFO options available.
  • Housing allowance and salary sacrifice options available.
