Consultant in Liaison Psychiatry

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Liaison Psychiatry to join our team. As a liaison psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive general adult psychiatric services at the hospital and associated facilities.

You will work closely with mental health professionals, healthcare providers, and other agencies to assess and manage individuals with mental health disorders. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of effective mental health strategies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in adult mental health. You will also be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in adult mental health
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
