Job Title: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Services Engineer to maintain, service and repair electrical and mechanical equipment throughout Victoria.

About the Role:
  • Maintenance servicing of automated packaging and processing equipment
  • Breakdown support and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Installation of new machinery and commissioning of existing machines
  • Execution of modifications and upgrades of existing machines
  • Maintenance of internal relationships with sales and technical teams through effective communication

The role involves regional travel throughout Victoria with potential occasional interstate or international travel. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects and develop your skills in electrical troubleshooting, motor and drive technologies, and PLC control technology.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Electrician with mechanical aptitude or a mechanical trade + restricted electrical license
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting (extra low voltage 24 VDC)
  • Experience with motor and drive technologies (servo motors) and PLC control technology (not coding)
  • Strong computer knowledge, network structure, ethernet, EtherCAT and serial communication protocols
  • Experience in food industry with packaging and processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a methodical approach to solving technical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals and drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office with comfort using various apps/software on associated devices
  • Driver's license
