Pre Purchase Building Inspector Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified building and pest inspector to assist with pre purchase inspections in Townsville, Northern QLD. This role would suit an experienced building and/or pest inspector or a licensed builder/site supervisor looking for a change.

About the Role

This is a contract/temp opportunity working on a self-employed basis. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of properties, identifying structural defects, safety risks, and compliance issues. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site visits to inspect properties
  • Identifying potential issues with properties including structural defects, safety risks, and compliance issues
  • Providing detailed inspection reports with clear recommendations

As an inspector with our client, you will play a key role in safeguarding the structural integrity and safety of properties. This role is vital in supporting safe property transactions, ongoing maintenance, and renovation projects by ensuring buildings meet relevant safety and compliance standards.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting building and/or pest inspections
  • Must hold or be eligible for a QLD Builder's Licence or Registered Building Inspectors Course, with knowledge of local compliance standards
  • Certified in Timber Pest Management (CPPUPM3008 & CPPUPM3010)
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong report writing capabilities
  • Physically capable of inspecting subfloors, roof cavities, and external roofing areas
  • Holds a current police clearance, valid driver's licence, and has access to a dependable vehicle
