BaptistCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathways Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our community services team, you will provide leadership and support to our team members, ensuring they deliver high-quality, integrated care to vulnerable and marginalized communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide team leadership and guidance to ensure effective delivery of holistic support services
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners and service providers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver person-centered programs and services
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures, including child protection and mental health first aid
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and CALD communities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members during client crises, leveraging problem-solving skills and high-level client intervention skills
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or diploma in community services, counseling, social work, or related field
  • Minimum three years' experience in a counseling and/or community-based case worker role
  • Mental health first aid accreditation and trauma-informed care training (or willingness to participate in training)
  • Child protection training and knowledge/experience
  • Ability to work within an integrated approach that is person-centered and includes strengths-based and narrative practices
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working with women from CALD backgrounds and individuals experiencing complex concerns
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and ability to promote the organization's values
  • Sound understanding of group program delivery, counseling, and support service delivery
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, diverse community environments
  • Collaborative and conflict management skills to achieve successful outcomes
  • Ability to identify, cooperate, and coordinate with local stakeholders, building strong relationships and partnerships
  • Current NSW driver's license and working with children check
  • First aid certificate or willingness to obtain
