About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Climate Risk Analyst to join our Commodities and Global Markets team at Macquarie.

As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial part in developing a deep comprehension of our financed emissions, identifying potential actions to address them, and ensuring the precision of our financed emissions reporting.

You will be responsible for coordinating internal and external reporting for Net Zero and Climate Risk, acting as a vital conduit for central support functions, and engaging with senior Commodities and Global Markets stakeholders around financed emissions net zero target setting and climate strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply advanced models for emissions data processing
  • Guarantee the precision of our financed emissions reporting and effectiveness of our sustainability initiatives
  • Coordinate internal and external reporting for Net Zero and Climate Risk
  • Act as a vital conduit for central support functions
  • Engage with senior Commodities and Global Markets stakeholders around financed emissions net zero target setting and climate strategy

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting/actuary studies or relevant discipline with a strong academic record
  • 2+ years' of experience in a similar role with an understanding of relevant frameworks and governance
  • Advanced Excel skills and understanding of data modelling
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Keen interest in climate and sustainability
