Principal WHS Business Partner Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Principal WHS Business Partner. This pivotal role involves building strong partnerships with divisions, providing expert guidance and innovative WHS solutions that support safe and high-performing business operations.

As a trusted advisor to divisional leaders and managers, you will deliver coaching, insight, and strategic advice to align WHS priorities with business objectives. Your expertise in WHS management systems, risk mitigation, and innovative safety practices will be essential in influencing positive safety outcomes and ensuring the department meets its legislative and policy obligations.

About You

You are an experienced WHS professional with proven business acumen who thrives in collaborative environments, coupled with a strong ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the department. You bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a deep understanding of risk management, WHS systems, and wellbeing programs.

Reporting to the Manager, Workplace Safety and Wellbeing, you will contribute significantly to ensuring robust systems are in place to identify, assess, and control WHS risks. You will also play a vital role in the development of WHS plans and priorities, driving the implementation of new initiatives, and promoting a positive, proactive safety culture and enhancing workforce wellbeing across the department.
