As a key player in our organization, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on workplace health and safety. We are currently seeking an experienced WHS Officer to join our team.

As a WHS Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our health and safety management system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate records of incidents, inspections, hazard logs, and corrective actions
  • Engaging with managers, supervisors, and employees through consultation mechanisms and coordinating committee functions
  • Promoting a positive, proactive safety culture by providing practical guidance and support
  • Contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures
  • Assisting in creating and monitoring operational plans, ensuring progress against objectives and targets
  • Supporting training programs, ensuring clear and effective guidance is provided
  • Conducting or assisting with hazard identification, incident investigations, safety inspections, and risk assessments

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, or related discipline
  • Relevant WHS certification (e.g., Grad Dip WHS, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in WHS roles, with exposure to multi-site or national operations
  • Demonstrated experience in WHS management systems, risk management, incident investigation, and compliance with Australian WHS legislation
  • Proven ability to provide practical advice, lead safety initiatives, and influence workplace culture
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and best practice
