Job Title: Transitional Support WorkerAbout the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Transitional Support Worker. In this role, you will provide transitional support to young people in targeted locations to help them build their capacity to establish and maintain long-term accommodation.

The successful applicant will possess or be willing to obtain relevant qualifications, including a NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, first aid & CPR certificate, and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.

About You:
  • You have a tertiary certificate in youth work/community welfare/social work.
  • You have excellent knowledge, understanding, and experience of working from a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach with young people who have lived in Out of Home Care.
  • You have experience providing incidental counselling and mentoring to young people with complex needs.
  • You have experience building relationships, networking, working cooperatively with, referring to, and advocating for diverse services that offer supports to young people.
  • You have well-developed knowledge of diverse cultures and community needs and issues as they relate to care of children and young people.
