This 12-month parental leave contract opportunity presents an exceptional leadership challenge for an experienced healthcare professional seeking to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals affected by blood cancer.
We seek a skilled Clinical Services Manager to lead the VIC, TAS, WA, and SA regions, guiding Supportive Care Case Managers in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
This full-time, fixed-term position is based in Melbourne's Carlton office, offering flexible work arrangements, including one day of remote work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a cohesive team delivering safe, quality, and patient-focused supportive care services.
- Promote improved patient outcomes through effective assessment, care planning, and comprehensive support.
- Foster optimal consumer experiences.
- Efficiently utilise resources, ensuring programme sustainability and responsiveness to patient needs.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery through strategic initiatives and quality assurance processes.
- Enhance collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing (RN), Psychology, or Dietetics.
- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration or eligibility for membership of respective professional body.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership or management roles within healthcare settings.
- Ability to deliver leadership and manage local and interstate teams.
- Experience in providing supportive care or working with individuals with chronic illnesses, preferably within oncology or haematology.
- In-depth knowledge of blood cancer, optimal care pathways, and supportive care needs across the care continuum.
- Ability to lead projects and initiatives with broad direction.
- Excellent critical thinking, organisational, and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, engaging diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in utilising IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and relevant specialised software.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, applying data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualifications in cancer or leadership & management.
- Experience managing dispersed teams.
- Programme development and implementation expertise.
Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, dependent on experience and location.
