Senior Governance and Compliance Manager

This is a senior-level position that requires overseeing Dentons' responses to claims and complaints, managing business acceptance processes including conflicts clearance, and managing a team of 5.

The successful candidate will report directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary and act as her second-in-command in the legal function. They will be responsible for providing training for all staff on risk issues and advising on contractual arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Dentons' responses to claims and complaints.
  • Manage business acceptance processes, including conflicts clearance.
  • Manage a team of 5.
  • Provide training for all staff on risk issues.
  • Advise on contractual arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a conflicts lawyer or within a law firm Office of General Counsel.
  • Senior lawyer with relevant corporate, commercial, litigation and/or compliance or company secretarial experience.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and develop solutions.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
