Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Lead Educator to join our dedicated team at Goodstart Sheidow Park-Hutt Close. As a Senior Educator, you will take charge of your own room, leading a team of dedicated Educators to deliver exceptional educational programs. You will collaborate with the Centre Leadership Team and the Educational Leader to observe, inform, and continuously improve our teaching practices.


About This Role


This is a full-time, 38 hours per week position, working in our Nursery room. The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent) and strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement high-quality educational programs for children aged 0-3 years
  • Lead and manage a team of Educators to achieve better outcomes for children
  • Collaborate with the Centre Leadership Team and Educational Leader to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of all children
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and a positive team culture

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current Queensland Working with Children Check
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A passion for delivering high-quality educational programs and promoting the development of young children
