Clinical Director Role at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital

Position Summary:

The position of Clinical Director is a senior clinical leadership role that focuses on ensuring the development and maintenance of specialist health services within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to provide clinical leadership and assume overall clinical responsibility for the Sexual Health Service Stream. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care, and ensuring that our services meet contemporary standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve healthcare services and outcomes;
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to staff members;
  • Assume overall clinical responsibility for the Sexual Health Service Stream, including managing budgets and resources;
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and community groups;
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the organization.
