Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our team at our new centre in Cairns. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to lead and collaborate with a therapeutic support framework to help clients achieve their goals and improve community participation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualised, person-centred physiotherapy services, developing and implementing therapy plans, completing therapeutic reports and functional assessments, and managing sensitive enquiries and specialist services.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Lead and collaborate within a therapeutic support framework to help clients achieve their goals and improve community participation.
- Client Care: Provide individualised, person-centred physiotherapy services, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of client needs.
- Service Development: Develop and implement therapy plans, ensuring seamless integration with multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with clients, families, and carers.
- Clinical Supervision: Conduct clinical supervision and identify learning needs, providing support and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Qualifications: Registered Physiotherapist with AHPRA and tertiary level qualifications in Physiotherapy.
- Experience: Experience working with people with a disability who may have complex and challenging support needs, with demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of physiotherapy assessment and intervention strategies in a disability context.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience to provide support and supervision to other staff, with strong written and verbal communication skills, including problem-solving and negotiation skills.
