Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our childcare centre as a chef.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals daily, ensuring the health and wellbeing of our children.

Key aspects of the role include developing seasonal menus, building relationships with children and staff, and maintaining best practice food safety and hygiene standards.


Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare healthy and balanced meals for our children, taking into account individual requirements and dietary needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with children, educators, families, and the wider community.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene practices are upheld at all times.

Requirements
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it.
  • Awareness of personal responsibilities under Child Protection Laws.
  • Current Working with Children's Check (QLD Blue Card).
  • Experience cooking for children, including meeting individual needs such as allergies and dietary requirements while ensuring meals are healthy and balanced.

The Centre

Our childcare centre is moving to a brand-new facility, offering a home-like environment for children, families, and staff. We have a long-standing team and a Centre Manager who has been with the company for over 18 years.
