Aged Care Chef Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Aged Care Cook/Chef to join our team at one of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare nutritious meals for residents with individual requirements or modified diets.
- Liaise with staff for feedback on meal reception and updates to dietary needs.
- Use initiative, be organized, and flexible to meet food service demands, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Lead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation and follow food handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace to a high standard.
- Provide prompt, courteous service, and act professionally when interacting with residents, families, colleagues, and peers.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is desirable.
- Experience working in an aged care environment is essential.
- Proven ability to work positively and productively to prepare and deliver quality, nutritious meals.
- Demonstrated understanding of food hygiene practices.
- Ability to develop a strong, cohesive work team.
- Exceptional customer service skills and friendly interaction with residents.
- Proven ability to liaise with suppliers and order supplies within budget constraints.
