The Aim Wider Program focuses on supporting adults with high support needs through career pathway exploration and planning. Our objective is to build skills, confidence, and networks for open employment opportunities.
Main Responsibilities- We work collaboratively with participants to achieve positive outcomes in employability skills, personal development, quality of life, and a welcoming learning environment.
- A strengths-based approach is used to provide group and individual supports.
- Participants are assisted in reaching employment goals through feedback and guidance.
- Project progress is researched, developed, maintained, and reported.
- Effective relationships are maintained with stakeholders, including management, to meet agreed outcomes and ensure project success.
- Services are established for open employment options for people living with disabilities under the Projects Coordinator's guidance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are demonstrated as a public speaker at events.
- Scheduling arrangements are supported and delivery materials prepared for information sessions and workshops.
- Administrative tasks are completed for project development, including assisting with seeking employment and work experience.
- New business development is contributed to through planning meetings and grant writing.
- Tools and resources are developed for delivering project activities as required.
- Work experience is arranged for participants in the local area aligned with their strengths and interests and supporting participants in work experience when necessary.
- Meetings are participated in with employers, families, and advocates where necessary and encouragement given to inclusion of people with disabilities in community life.
- Data is collated and maintained to meet reporting requirements and deadlines, ensuring activities comply with relevant legislation and professional standards.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence (P2 minimum) is required.
- COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption is mandatory.
- DHS/NDIS checks and clearances, or willingness to obtain, are required.
- A Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain is required.
- A Child Safe Environments Certificate or willingness to obtain is required.
