Job Description:
Expert Poisons AdviceProvide critical information on poisoning assessment and treatment to healthcare professionals and the public, ensuring accurate advice and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients exposed to toxins and advise on home care or referral to a healthcare facility.
- Offer expert guidance on management and prognosis of poisonings, including bites, stings, pregnancy, and lactation effects, and drug interactions.
- Record information accurately into the database during calls and actively audit Poisons Information Centre call records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Eligibility Criteria:- Full registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA, with no restrictions on scope of practice.
- Eligible for employment Grade 1/Grade 2 Pharmacist as per the Health Services State Award for Pharmacist.
- Demonstrated relevant clinical pharmacy experience, including a busy clinical environment.
