Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Pty Ltd is a leading provider of high-performance optronics and inertial navigation equipment to the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces.

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager Lead to join our team in Sydney, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, purchasing, inventory control, distribution, and export controls.

**Job Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will oversee and manage the SEDA supply chain operations, developing and implementing strategies to ensure targets are met and opportunities are identified. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of supply chain functions to align with SED's strategy.
  • Performing supply risk audits and monitoring local supply performance.
  • Developing key business partner relationships with local suppliers.
  • Overseeing logistics and supply support plans.
  • Active management of Export Controls compliance activities related to US Regulations (ITAR and EAR).
  • Maintaining the Export Controls Permit register and permit applications.
  • Assisting in developing Australian Industry Capability (AIC) plans and reporting.
  • Intellectual Property management and general periodic supply chain audits and analysis.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business management or a related discipline.
  • A minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain management.
  • Sound working knowledge of export controls.
  • Skills and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience in processes under Quality Standards AS/NZS9001, AS/NZS9110, and AS/NZS14001 framework.

**What We Offer**

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your skills and expertise, and contribute to the success of our organization.
