As a Fire Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of fire protection equipment in the Bundaberg / Hervey Bay region.

This is an opportunity to join a leading company in the fire protection industry and contribute to providing safe working environments for people and protecting property.

The role involves testing and repairing fire protection equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and fire blankets, to Australian Standards. You will also be required to liaise with customers, ensure compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements, complete service records using smart device technology, and sell fire equipment products across various industries.

  • Liaising with customers, fostering a courteous and professional business relationship

  • Fire Equipment product sales across a diverse range of industries

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong focus on workplace safety
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Good personal presentation
  • Willingness to multi-skill into other areas of fire protection
  • Good computer/smart device technology skills

We offer attractive wages, a standard 40-hour week (Monday to Friday), RDO, overtime rates for any extra hours, as well as a fully maintained commercial vehicle to enable you to perform your duties. If required, we will provide training to complete licencing requirements in the first 6 months of employment, resulting in a nationally recognised Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
