Event Support Assistant Role
The Australian Open 2026 offers a key behind-the-scenes opportunity for individuals to contribute towards the smooth operation of the event.
As an Event Support Assistant, you will be responsible for welcoming and checking in event staff, suppliers, and contractors with a professional and efficient approach.
Accurate verification of credentials and distribution of uniforms, accreditation, and shift materials are essential aspects of this role.
Maintaining accurate records and following check-in/check-out procedures will ensure seamless execution of tasks.
Effective communication with team leaders and supervisors is crucial in managing any late arrivals or rostering changes.
Additionally, monitoring and managing supplies for check-in stations and muster areas, as well as cloak room areas for guests or staff, requires meticulous attention to detail.
Key Requirements
To succeed in this position, you must possess previous experience in customer service, front desk, event operations, or guest services.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are paramount, alongside the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential due to the dynamic nature of the event schedule.
