We are seeking a talented professional to fill the role of Transport Engineering Specialist in our School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and research in transport engineering, with a focus on emerging technologies such as predictive modelling, real-time traffic analytics, and autonomous vehicle integration.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake teaching and research in transport engineering, developing innovative solutions to real-world problems.
  • Design and deliver educational programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, ensuring students receive a world-class education.
  • Engage with colleagues to develop and implement new teaching methods and technologies, enhancing student learning outcomes.
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds, promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within our community.
  • Collaborate with researchers to contribute to high-quality research with impact, including potential leadership roles across disciplines.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A PhD in a related discipline or relevant work experience, demonstrating expertise in transport engineering.
  • A proven commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments, ensuring knowledge remains current and relevant.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design development and delivery, showcasing ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Familiarity with using and designing educational technologies and online delivery methods, enhancing student engagement.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence, inspiring students to achieve their best.
  • Knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning desirable, providing practical insight into real-world applications.
  • Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact, contributing to the advancement of knowledge.
  • Significant involvement with the profession and/or industry, promoting collaboration and networking opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to network effectively, building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
