Transport Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a Transport Engineer to join our team in a Teaching and Research role.

Responsibilities
  • This position will focus on high-quality teaching and research in transport engineering, with a strong emphasis on emerging technologies such as predictive modelling, real-time traffic analytics, and autonomous vehicle integration.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of teaching and learning programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • They will engage with innovative teaching methods and educational technologies to support online and on-campus delivery.
  • The Transport Engineer will support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • They will collaborate within a dynamic research environment and contribute to high-quality research with impact, including potential leadership and collaboration across disciplines.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in teaching and research.
  • Demonstrated expertise in transport engineering, with a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.
  • Strong skills in curriculum design, development, and delivery, as well as the use of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds and supporting student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Additional Details

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract opportunity for 4 years. The salary is Level B, with a competitive benefits package.
