Pastry Chef Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pastry Chef to join our team. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts for our restaurant, deli, and events.

The successful candidate will have formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery and minimum 2 years' experience in pastry at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts to a high standard.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and rotation efficiently.
  • Train and develop junior staff members.
  • Educate on food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
Requirements:
  • Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in pastry at a high level.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Right to work in Australia.
