About the Role:

RDO Equipment is seeking a skilled IT Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring that our IT systems are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, triage, and resolve incidents related to Windows and web applications, business systems, networking issues, end-user computers, desk phones, headsets, mobile devices, and other technical issues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to carry out request fulfillment, including staff administration and new equipment requests.
  • Image, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, and ship them to our various locations.
  • Manage assets, including records keeping, tracking assets through their lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning, and auditing.
  • Participate in the rotating on-call roster.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in a business or information technology field.
  • Previous experience as an IT Service Desk Specialist, minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Practical application of a broad range of Microsoft O365 software application functions and technologies.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers, fellow work colleagues, and management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Valid driver's license.
