Join Our Perioperative Services Team - Instrument Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Instrument Technician to join our Perioperative Services team in a casual position.

This role offers a great chance to work within a supportive and professional team, contributing to the delivery of safe patient care. The position involves working under supervision to provide sterilisation support to the theatres by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment.

As a collaborative member of the CSSD team, you will work within established procedures to ensure the requirements of the surgical services department are met, and the services provided by other consumers are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing sterilisation support to the theatres
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment
  • Working collaboratively with the CSSD team to meet the requirements of the surgical services department

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services (desirable for Grades 1 or 2)
  • Prior experience working in a CSSD team
  • Good understanding of the role of an Instrument Technician
  • Proficiency complying with standards of practice and demonstrated accountability for actions in all aspects of the work environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
