Retail Operations Manager Job Description

As a Retail Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving execution and operational excellence across our global store network.

  • In-Store Presence: You will act as an operational catalyst on the ground, testing, learning, mentoring, and ensuring stores are set up for success.
  • Operational Oversight: You will conduct frequent store visits to co-create workflows, identify and remove inefficiencies, and streamline execution.
  • Profit & Performance: You will own retail financial metrics (sales, margin, EBIT, wages, expenses) while supporting trade levers (conversion, ATV, IPC, loyalty).
  • Simplification & Future-Readiness: You will spot and support opportunities for simplification, process automation, and productivity-enhancing technologies that reduce complexity and improve outcomes.
  • Performance Reporting: You will deliver accurate, timely reporting on wages, expenses, and performance to inform decision-making.
  • Policy & Process Development: You will embed consistent processes and policies that drive compliance, efficiency, and best practice.
  • Project Management: You will lead operational improvement projects that reduce costs, enhance systems, and enable digital transformation.
  • Technology & Systems: You will oversee effective use of POS, payments/merchant, and workforce scheduling systems; ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Customer & Team Experience: You will continuously improve the store team experience and elevate the customer journey, aligned with our experiential retail approach.
