Senior Mine Geologist Role

As a Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a pivotal part in the coordination and execution of geological activities at our mine site. This is an opportunity to join a diverse and driven workforce building a sustainable business for tomorrow.

The Role Overview
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with the mine team to ensure geology activities align with the mine plan;
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of geologists and technicians to deliver geological services of the highest standard;
  • Oversight of production and development geology function and routine mine to mill reconciliations;
  • Maintaining quality assurance and quality control that meets industry best practice;
  • Supporting the leadership team to drive continuous improvement initiatives while providing guidance and leadership to the technical team.
About You

This role would suit a Senior Mine Geologist with previous experience in open pit mining. You will also have:

  • A degree in geology or related field;
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of geostatistical principles;
  • An understanding of arid environment regolith profiles and experience with RC drilling supervision;
  • Previous exposure to Vulcan, Deswik, Acquire Systems, and ArcGIS;
  • The ability to work across both production and development geology and willingness to conduct field work when needed;
  • A valid manual C-class driver licence (essential);
  • Effective communication skills to mentor, train, and relay technical information and activities to team members.
