Care Support Specialist
We are seeking compassionate and reliable care professionals to join our team. This role is ideal for someone committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and active participation in everyday life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility: lifting, transfers, and use of mobility aids
- Administer medication under supervision
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Acompany clients to appointments and community outings
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Promote independence and support life skills development
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow NDIS standards and WHS guidelines
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
- Collaborate with families, support teams, and health professionals
- Follow individualised care plans
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical care at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in disability, aged care, or community support is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of and empathy towards mental health challenges
- Ability to foster trust and be a dependable support person
