**Job Description**
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Heritage Field Coordinator to join our team on Barrow Island. This role will be responsible for assisting with activities related to the WA Oil Decommissioning program, commencing in 2025.
The successful candidate will have experience working with Traditional Owners in similar roles, coordinating field surveys, logistics, compliance, and coordination. Strong communication skills and ability to manage conflict are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Cultural Heritage and WA Oil Project teams on survey scoping, planning, and execution.
- Coordinate logistics and execution of CH surveys and monitoring on BWI, adhering to Chevron policies and procedures.
- Liaise with site personnel, participate in project pre-starts, and ensure a safe and respectful work environment.
- Manage notifications, incidents, and reporting, providing feedback to the cultural heritage team.
- Foster relationships with Traditional Owners, DBCA reserves officers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support consultation by facilitating on-Country meetings and training staff on cultural heritage management processes.
- Gather insights into project activities and facilitate open communication among team members.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Chevron's cultural heritage management system and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with Traditional Owners in similar roles, preferably as an engagement lead, heritage liaison officer, or heritage survey adviser.
- Strong understanding of heritage management and protection processes, with a focus on health and safety.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and conflict-management skills.
Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
