This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Asset Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of assets, including heavy vehicles, light commercial vehicles, materials handling equipment, and portable fuel storage tanks. You will lead the analysis and execution of initiatives across the entire asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
Key Responsibilities- Develop asset optimisation strategies by collaborating with frontline operations to identify functional requirements and conduct market research and competitor benchmarking.
- Model asset scenarios to optimize type, configuration, quantity, and location in line with strategic business objectives.
- Build relationships with vendors, including manufacturers, dealers, lease agents, and repairers, to ensure effective logistics asset performance.
- Oversee fleet maintenance effectiveness by ensuring alignment with strategy, assessing asset relocation/divestment, and generating regular reports and insights.
- Lead change and capital programs, including heavy vehicle fleet replacement, maintenance tenders, and customer tank solutions, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of assets across our fleet and equipment. This includes heavy vehicles, such as tanker trucks, and light commercial vehicles, materials handling equipment, and portable fuel storage tanks. You will lead the analysis and execution of initiatives across the entire asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
Requirements- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics/Transport or Supply Chain field.
- Experience in Supply chain / Operations management and Asset Management.
- Experience in Heavy vehicle fleet management and knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
- Understanding of transport operations, including safety and compliance requirements.
- High level of analytical skills and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
- Flexible to travel.
