AgriFutures Australia is seeking experienced professionals to lead a portfolio of industries.

About the Role
  • This position involves strategic leadership and oversight of industry portfolios, with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes.
  • You will develop and implement portfolio strategies, engage stakeholders, and manage external partnerships to ensure high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Program Managers and Coordinators to identify RD&E priorities and delivery industry priorities in consultation with industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver a portfolio strategy that clearly defines research, communication, and extension priorities.
  • Engage and align stakeholders around strategic priorities and success measures.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in science, business management or economics or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience within Program Management including the identification of R&D priorities, developing R&D plans and supporting budgets, and commissioning, contracting and managing R&D projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in rural issues and the role of rural research and development with an appreciation of the delivery of R&D outcomes to end users.
