About the Role

Gold Fields seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead its supply function. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a supply mining environment and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diligently apply and impart knowledge and skills in the leadership of the supply function
  • Ensure minimal disruption to operations by the timely requisition and receipt of required materials
  • Maintain a productive working relationship with planning and mechanical personnel, liaising with them to accurately understand their service requirements
  • Proactively manage stock levels of critical spares and consumables
  • Assist with reporting and auditing when required
  • Store inventory received within the warehouse, so it is easily located within SAP
  • Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring to the Supply team
  • Conduct stock takes, ensuring sufficient human resources available to deliver the objectives of the task and client service delivery requirements
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute reports on supply activities

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience in a supply mining environment as a Senior
  • A current MR Drivers Licence
  • A High-Risk Licence, Senior First Aid, and Dangerous Goods card
  • SAP experience (highly desirable)
  • A high level of communication skills and ability to lead a small team
