About the Role

The organisation is seeking an experienced Data Strategist to support the development and maintenance of our data warehouse and Business Intelligence environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and continuously improve complex data structures, data models and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Work within an agile development framework as coordinated by the Analytics & Business Intelligence Manager.
  • Participate in data & analytics projects as they arise.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for optimisation and automation.
  • Coordinate, develop and maintain documentation on data products and solutions.
  • Create data & analytics solutions from prototype to production status.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary level grounding in data & analytics or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Demonstrated technical skills in data warehousing, Business Intelligence, semantic data modelling, Extract, Transform & Load (ETL or ELT processing), Structured Query Language (SQL) and scripting (e.g. Python).
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, understand and process data from complex structures and multiple sources.
  • Ability to manage expectations through effective prioritisation and delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
