Job Title: Assistant Director, Data Security Specialist

The role of the Assistant Director, Data Security Specialist is a critical position that involves preparing for and responding to cyber security incidents and threats. This role oversees the security posture of our data platforms, including data storage, transmission, processing, presentation, and representation in data governance layers.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for and respond to cyber security incidents and threats by developing and implementing action plans, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring timely recovery and forensic evidence.
  • Oversee the security posture of our data platforms, including data storage, transmission, processing, presentation, and representation in data governance layers.
  • Liaise with vendors and coordinate revisions to service agreements to ensure alignment with our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and compliance efforts.
  • Engage with the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and other relevant bodies to enhance our organisation's cyber resilience.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure open communication and collaboration on security matters.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging data and cybersecurity threats and trends, implementing appropriate measures to address them.
  • Support our organisation's compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 27001, PSPF, and other applicable frameworks.
