Job Overview
This Academic Sessional Lecturer position is an exciting opportunity for experienced academics to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and tutorials to students across various programs, including primary teaching, health and physical education, science, and practicum supervision.
- Prepare lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum documents and assessment tasks that align with industry standards.
- Utilize technology, such as Blackboard and Zoom, to facilitate online learning and teaching practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Requirements
- A minimum of an undergraduate qualification and relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level.
- Demonstrated expertise in adult learning principles and pedagogy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and empathise with students.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks in a busy education environment.
Salary and Benefits
This Academic Sessional Lecturer position offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits and access to professional development opportunities.
