Project Accountant

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our Infrastructure division. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely payment claims to clients, including supporting analysis and reports
- Process adjustments to project revenue and costs, ensuring compliance with our internal controls
- Coordinate month-end financial processes, including accruals and clearing journals
- Manage intercompany invoices and recharge journals, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Update project forecast sheets and coordinate monthly forecasting with the team
- Provide support for audits and investigations, ensuring the integrity of our business processes
- Prepare and investigate discrepancies in workforce labour reconciliations
- Process workforce labour journals and corrections, ensuring accurate coding
- Previous accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial management principles
- Qualifications in accounting, with a focus on financial management and analysis
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with attention to detail
- Experience working on infrastructure construction projects, highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with intermediate Excel skills
