About this Role

We're looking for an experienced Construction Engineer to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective coordination of on-site construction engineering activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and implementing engineering activities according to technical specifications, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Planning and administering job programs for approval by senior management.
  • Inputting data and undertaking minor design work on site, monitoring and recommending changes to optimize construction efficiency.
  • Using professional judgment to resolve engineering issues.
  • Demonstrating financial acumen, including cost reduction and budget management.
  • Verifying subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Implementing risk controls and communicating actions involved in project delivery and implementation.
  • Reporting on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
  • Conducting safety, environment, and quality risk assessments.

This is a challenging role that requires strong construction management and technical skills relevant to the program of work and discipline area.

Key skills include:

  • Project planning, development, and review.
  • Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
  • Document and record management, progress reporting.
  • Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Primavera 6, Aconex, and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
